What inspired you both to take on the World Marathon Challenge and fundraise for the Sovereign Art Foundation?
‘James and I had discussed embarking on an adventure together, and when the opportunity arose to tackle
the World Marathon Challenge, we saw it as the perfect combination of personal growth and philanthropy. Supporting the Sovereign Art Foundation resonated deeply with both of us, knowing the transformative power of art in the lives of underprivileged children’
How do you plan to balance the physical demands of the challenge with your professional and personal commitments?
‘Maintaining a balance between physical training and personal and professional commitments is crucial.
I’ve structured my training regimen to accommodate my schedule, prioritising key workouts and recovery sessions. It’s about finding harmony between physical preparation and other aspects of life, ensuring I’m fully prepared for the challenge ahead’
Could you share some insights into your training regimen and preparation for this extraordinary feat?
‘Preparing for such an extraordinary feat demands a meticulous training regimen. I’ve focused on a combination of cardiovascular conditioning, strength training, and mobility work to ensure my body is equipped to handle the demands of running seven marathons in seven days. Collaborating with experts in nutrition and recovery has also been integral to my preparation, ensuring I’m physically and mentally prepared for the challenge ahead’
As a seasoned athlete, what do you anticipate will be the biggest challenge during the World Marathon Challenge?
‘The sheer physical and mental endurance required to complete the World Marathon Challenge presents a
formidable challenge. From navigating extreme weather conditions to managing fatigue and potential injuries, every aspect of the challenge will test our limits. However, maintaining a positive mindset and focusing on the purpose behind our participation will be essential in overcoming these obstacles’
How do you hope your participation in this challenge will impact the lives of vulnerable children supported by the Sovereign Art Foundation?
‘Our participation in the World Marathon Challenge is not just about pushing physical boundaries—it’s about making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable children supported by the Sovereign Art Foundation. Through the foundation’s innovative programs, children are given the opportunity to explore their creativity and overcome adversity. By raising awareness and funds through our participation, we aim to contribute to these transformative initiatives and empower children to thrive’
What message do you have for individuals who may want to support your fundraising efforts for the Sovereign Art Foundation?
‘For those interested in supporting our fundraising efforts for the Sovereign Art Foundation, I encourage you to join us on this incredible journey of impact and inspiration. Your support will directly benefit underprivileged children, providing them with access to transformative arts programs that empower them to overcome challenges and express themselves creatively. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and communities around the world’
