Description

This is a piece based on the famous painting ‘Las Meninas’ using the art style of Alberto Giacometti. The composition and theme of Albertos style is reflected, one person in a large, vague, empty room. She, for me represents a light in a dark place. The piece is a collage of different mediums using a mixture of oil paints, charcoal, chalk and pencils on water colour paper. This was one in a series of Las Meninas based pieces.
